We arrived safely at our first location Elandsheim. The groups decided upon their team names Group 1 – Mandela Group 2 - Shaka and Group 3 Impi.
Following their first in country meal the teams attended a lecture delivered by Colonel Reggie Purbrick on the subject of Africa geography and history of the Anglo Zulu wars.
The evening activities included Fireball Hockey and camp fire chat- The teams retired to bed at 20.00 African time.
Tomorrow Battlefield Tours and the teams will walk the Fugitives trail (10k) which includes crossing the Buffalo river.
