Men first in Zulu culture, stick fighting and unusual purchases at the market!

Our last day at the battlefields as one large team:

“Brilliant and fascinating” said everyone of the Battlefield tour and lecture with Colonel Reggie Purbrick at Rorke's Drift.
Visit to a traditional Zulu village where the expeditioners experienced Zulu culture including the social ‘pecking order’ of men first - always! We tasted beer, learned about marriage rituals and tried Zulu stick fighting.
Time to shop: teams were bemused to find one store that sells everything from toothpaste to spears, whips and shields ... parents be warned none of the expeditioners purchased toothpaste!
We washed up, packed and tidied our camp, chatted round the camp fire and headed for bed ready for a 5.30 am start!
